About

I am Simon Chun-Yue Pan.

I live in the wonderful city of Toronto, Canada.

I was by profession a software consultant and now a seminary student.

I like many things, may be too many: books, Bach, Springsteen, Dire Straits, piont noir, pinot grigio, walking in the rain, howling at the moon, literture, gargoyles, Gregorian chants, Renoir, Monet, hot-wheels(toy cars) , monkey stuffed toys, football(soccer), Aresenal, Oilers, …

I believe in the Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior so I must say I am a confessing Christian.

The title of this blog come from a poem Asphodel, That Greeny Flower – by William Carlos Williams.

Look at
what passes for the new.
You will not find it there but in
despised poems.
It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack
of what is found there.

This blog is about my journey of exploring and responding.
