Reading Spiritual Classics Notes

In our Sunday school we are reading selections from: 

(Foster 93) Foster Richard J., Smith James Bryan (ed.), “Devotional Classic”, Harper SanFrancisco 1993.

We pray, we read, we eat and we talk. I'll try to post each week notes from the group as well as my own reading notes when possible. 

Why do we eat lunch togther? The following is one of the reasons:

The Sacrament of Eating: The most common setting for the teaching of Jesus was around the dinner table. Eating is the Christian context for fellowship, whether it is with fellow believers or with the very presence of Christ Himself. From nextreformation.com
