Time : 1×25 Mil

I read that 25 millions people watched the finale of Frasier last night. That is 25 millions person-hour. I am wondering what if those time were used otherwise, just may be someone would have lived in a better world.

I am trying to remember some of my friends birthdays:
HCM 1205
miss tea 5678

Can you guess who they are? No way, I bet I would not understand it come tomorrow.

Mom’s greeting and Fraizer Finale

When I left for work this morning (7:30am). Mom was up already. This is her Mah-Jong day. She always say the same things when I leave for work: “Come home early” or comments about the weather. Sometimes I find that annoying because it seems so redundant and I felt treated like a juvenile. However, I think she just meant, “I love you son”, “I always love having you around”, “I care for your being as much as I can”. She just express it in her traditional Chinese way. As I think about this I felt a little wetness at the corner of my eyes.

I watched Frasier’s finale with El last night. Good show, better than Friends in my opinion. I like the quote Frasier quote towards the end, here it is (he only quoted the last line) :

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are:
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson, “Ulysses”

Powerful words, and words can be powerful…
